@RISK software training in Chile by Manuel Viera

Spanish article on the latest issue of Metaforico

Between wednesday 16th and friday 18th, Metaproject Training Center did some @Risk classes for chilean industrial engineers.

The classes were teached by Manuel Viera, CEO & Managing Partner of Metaproject, whose company is the exclusive distribuitor of this risk analysis software in Chile. The students "managed to learn how to deal with uncertainty and risks on every level of each process and decision making", stated Viera. "Now they are be able to build simulation models and to analyze all variables which can cause any kind of risk during the planification or controlling phases of each project".

@RISK is a software delevoloped by Palisade Corp that performs risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulation, in order to show many possible outcomes in a spreadsheet model, and tells how likely they are to occur. It mathematically and objectively computes and tracks many different possible future scenarios, then tells the probabilities and risks associated with each different one.

This means that we can judge which risks to take and which ones to avoid, allowing for the best decision making under uncertainty. @Risk is part of The DecisionTools Suite from Palisade, a high-quality set of programs for risk analysis and decision making under uncertainty conditions.
